Artist Biography

Sam Yesko (they/she) is a fine art photographer and video artist pursuing a BFA in Photography & Video at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design located in Lancaster, PA. Whilst interested in all photographic forms, their work consists primarily of constructed, self-portraiture, and documentary photographic styles. Often drawn to the tensions between control and vulnerability, they create works based on the ideas of identity, trauma, the actions of the human body and how the psychological mind works within our daily lives.
Yesko is a student leader, representing the school's major and works for their school as a Student Photo Lab Monitor. They take the time out of their busy day to be helpful for multiple students, reviewing and giving advice to their peers while also assisting with professors.
Recently, they had the opportunity to be part of the Red Rose International Film Festival’s Internship program, serving as an official jury member for the Best Student Film and Shorts selection. Yesko has been selected in multiple group shows such as the Living Image 2025/2026 held at The Halide Project in Philadelphia, PA and the Anarchy Black & White Photo Exhibition which has traveled to Japan, the UK, Italy, and France.
